by RegRubio
An estimate of 150 poker players has managed to snag a million in more in the WSOP all these years. But there are only 10 players who have won the most and below is a list of them and how they achieve taking home these huge earnings.
1.Jamie Gold - $12,067,292 He won the coveted Main Event spot at the time wherein the field of the WSOP is the largest. He got the biggest prize in the history of the tournament taking home about $12 million, making him the top man in this list. His cashes also include three others amounting about $67,000 in total. The field size during the 2006 WSOP is the biggest by far and it's improbable that it can be reach again due to the passing of the UIGEA bill wherein European poker sites shy away from the US market. Thus it is possible that Gold will hang on to his title for a while unless someone who's on this list will win a big bounty on one of the WSOP events.
2.Peter Eastgate - $9,152,416 During the WSOP Main Event 2008, a young poker pro named Peter Eastgate won the second biggest pot in poker history and he comes ahead on everyone except of course, Jamie Gold. Being young made Eastgate the prime candidate to capture the number one spot in this list in the subsequent years and so.

His impossible victory during the 2007 Main Event is expected to be Jerry Yang's only huge hit in poker. Lots of players have admitted that Yang lacks the skill to generate more wins in the future. Regardless of this, Yang's good personality makes up for his lack of expertise.
4.Joe Hachem - $7,941,823 Known as one of the best players who have triumph in the WSOP in the past few years, Hachem have cash in from 8 events in the WSOP ever since and that includes managing to reach the final table twice where he ended up in the 2nd and 4th place. He also won the WPT Five Diamond event in 2006 adding another $2 million dollars in his earnings. This pleasant fellow is not that famous in the poker community but he is unquestionably one of the best tournament players ever played in the WSOP.
6.Greg Raymer - $6,487,512 Raymer is the first one to gain from a large field of poker players being the champion of the 2004 WSOP Main Event. He outsmarted more than 2500 players and took home a large prize of $5 million dollars in the process. 9.Phil Hellmuth - $6,054,988 One of the most egotistical players in poker, Hellmuth must be killing himself now that almost all in this list are unknown to him. Well, Hellmuth already made his name in poker by winning 11 bracelets in the WSOP. But his biggest pay check by far in the tournament is only $755,000. He already collected 73 checks in the WSOP but is not lucky enough to win a prize like the others. He is known to be the only hard worker in this list.
10.Michael Binger - $4,853,748 He is another non-Main Event winner on this list, finishing 3rd during the 2006 Main Event. Binger already collected 19 WSOP cashes in his career and still counting.
